JOB DESCRIPTION **Description** Ability to instruct various levels and types of exercise classes in a safe and effective manner. Cues proper safety and form while instructing classes. Responsible for successfully leading groups of 7 or more in a safe and effective manner according to ACSM guidelines for group fitness. Preferred Bachelor Degree in Anatomy, Kinesiology. Association or a certification similar and or a certification pertaining to your fitness specialty. Current Heart Saver AED and CPR. First Aid Certificate. Certification or actively seek certification within 3 months of employment from one of the following, American Council on Exercise, Group Fitness and Fitness Association of America, American College of Sports Medicine, or National Dance Exercise Instructor Training or a Nationally recognized Group Certification. Appropriate training for specific equipment utilized in classes that instructor is teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS **Qualifications** High School Equivalent / GED Preferred Minimum of 100 hours of group exercise instruction in the past year.
