Dispatcher Police - #6826

Summary

While working in the Hospital Police Department under the direct supervision of the Officers In Charge (OIC), dispatchers will be primarily responsible for receiving and transmitting emergency and administrative messages over a combined police, fire and medical communication system.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school graduate or equivalent
2. One year of previous dispatching or radio communication experience
3. Ability to verbally communicate effectively under stressful conditions
4. Fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system

Preferred Qualifications

1. Prior communication and dispatching experience
2. Knowledge of public safety operations.
