SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

**Position Summary:**

The Plant Cleaning Associate has a prescribed routine, to maintain a clean facility including production related areas, restrooms, interior and exterior areas of the building.

* Dump and dispose of trash that has been collected in labelled containers

* Dump and dispose of grindable waste that has collected in labelled containers

* Change finish room filters on a prescribed routine.

* Clean and service additional items in the finish room on a prescribed routine.

* Sweep floors, aisles and open areas with a power sweeper.

* Sweep less accessible areas on a prescribed routine.

* Load out sawdust as required.

* Advise Supervisor of any materials required to perform the job IE: Inventory of supply items, filters, cleaning supplies etc.

* Other duties as assigned

* Must have a forklift license, or the ability to get one.

**Experience and Knowledge Required:**

* High school diploma required

** Physical Demands:**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to walk and sit. Use of hands and fingers will be required for writing, computer use, and phone use. Work in a manner consistent with standard Sauder safety practices and expectations. The employee will also be required to walk throughout the plant at various times during a typical day. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Encompasses the full spectrum from factory floor to office environment. The noise levels in these work environments are usually low to moderate. Personal protective equipment such as eye protection and ear protection may be required in the shop floor environment. Exposure to dust and dirt.
