**Description**
**Front Desk Associate - Urgent Care Clinic** **Columbus, GA** CRH Healthcare, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is a patient-focused operator of urgent care centers in the Southeast US region. CRHs centers are open seven days a week and provide walk-in care for injury, illness, and minor emergencies as well as family care.
This position reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for greeting patients and setting the initial tone for the patient experience.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
* Greet patients and visitors in waiting area in a friendly, prompt, and helpful manner.
* Check-in patients and update necessary information in patients profiles.
* Promptly answer incoming phone calls.
* Responsible for the daily collection of copays and other forms of payment.
* Call insurance companies and others to verify patient coverage for treatment.
* Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of patient waiting areas.
* Assist patients with ambulatory difficulties, including obtaining wheelchairs and providing assistance with walking.
* Responsible for administrative duties including, but not limited to, managing petty cash and completing the end of the day (EOD) reports.
* Perform additional duties as necessary.
**Key Requirements:**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* One (1) year of front desk experience in a customer service-related setting, healthcare strongly preferred.
* Ability to work weekday and/or weekend shifts as needed.
* Ability to work 10 to 12-hour shifts as determined by location.
* Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
* Basic computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with electronic medical records.
* Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher when needed.
