Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the organization.

Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize liabilities.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and requirements.

Review and analyze financial data to identify tax risks and opportunities.

Prepare and review tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to support tax audits and inquiries.

Provide guidance and support to internal teams on tax-related matters, including financial planning, transactions, and investments.

Stay current on changes to tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and assess their impact on the company.

Manage relationships with tax authorities and other external stakeholders.

Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing training, guidance, and support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required

At least 8 years of progressive experience in tax management, preferably in a corporate environment or public accounting firm.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.

Proven track record of developing and implementing tax strategies that optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify tax risks and opportunities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Experience leading and developing a team of tax professionals is preferred.
