We are in search of a dynamic Sales Director with experience taking consumer package goods to big box retailers. This role entails crafting and executing sales strategies specifically designed for the retail landscape, overseeing pivotal accounts, and inspiring the sales team to surpass goals. Our ideal candidate will process a track record of achievements in leadership within retail sales, possessing exceptional communication alongside a profound comprehension of the intricacies of the retail sector.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives for our retail box store chain.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the retail sector and develop strategies for expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and suppliers.
  • Lead and develop team of 6 direct reports; Business Development, Market Segment Manager s - x4 and Merchandising Manager.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for individual stores and regions.
  • Analyze sales data and retail trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and operations teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Monitor competitor activity and retail industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance sales culture focused on customer satisfaction and retention within the retail box store environment.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on retail sales performance, forecasts, and strategy execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as retail industry regulations.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Retail Sales Director or similar leadership role within the retail industry, with a minimum of 6 years in retail sales management.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in a retail box store environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a retail sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of retail sales techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience in retail box store operations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in retail-specific software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel to individual store locations as needed.


Total Rewards Package:


Base salary range starting at of $220,000 - $250,000 with LTIP.

Company vehicle, phone and laptop provided.

Full benefits package with 401k match - employer pays 70% of all
