Summary


The Designer is responsible designing new concepts and designs for a product category within defined theme and seasons from concept through final delivery. Presents and delivers brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy; encompassing style, color/print and graphic design for new/existing product lines. Researches and interprets fashion trends and consumer needs that uphold the integrity of the product lines/brand.


Responsibilities


+ Conceptualize and design multiple creative solutions


+ Assist in the creation and execution of final designs


+ Create Design Turn Overs (DTO) and finalize artwork for hand-off to the Production Team Order


+ Review mechanical art work for final design approval prior to release


+ Support creation of concept and design options for their category/ies


+ Update design board layouts and printouts, including concept boards


+ Assist in researching trends and patterns for upcoming seasons


+ Provide approved designs and design direction to mechanical art team for development of technical specifications


Qualifications


Qualifications & Experience


+ Minimum of 4 6 years of prior experience in 2D design, Illustration and graphic/product design; package design preferred


+ Strong sense of design, typography and color plus proven expertise in 2D label or graphic design


+ Strong level of creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization and design skills


+ Drawing and computer illustration skills Strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills are required


+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


+ Fundamental experience and/or knowledge of design with photography


+ Strong fashion sense with ability to translate into graphic design


+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborate design environment


+ Solid communication and presentation skills


+ Store visits and/or customer insights focus groups


Education


Bachelors degree in Design or equivalent experience
