Lead Dock Worker- Transportation (Sidney)

**Location:** Sidney, OH Provide leadership, organize and monitor the flow of goods being loaded and unloaded from the trucks. Provide training for dock personnel and close monitoring of safety procedures and policies. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

- Train employees in proper dock procedures.

- Unloads or loads trucks at dock.

- Helps to load trucks on pick-up routes.

- Maintains a clean and safe working area inside and outside of dock.

- Conduct daily walk through inspection prior to the start of operations.

- Other duties may be assigned.

**Supervisory Responsibilities** Assist with supervision of Dock Workers, Balers, Tipper Operators, Forklift Operators and Truck Helpers. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. **Education Requirements** High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required. **Experience Requirements** Able to load and unload trucks of merchandise including clothing, household goods, furniture and appliances. Experience operating a pallet jack, two-wheel dollies and four wheel carts. Able to sort and pack merchandise for safe storage or transport. **Qualifications** Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens. **Skills and Abilities**

- Able to load and unload trucks of merchandise including clothing, household goods, furniture and appliances.

- Able to use pallet jack, two-wheel dollies and four wheel carts.

- Able to sort and pack merchandise for safe storage or transport.

- Practical knowledge of dock work, including mechanical equipment used.
