Manufacturing Data Analyst

As a Manufacturing Data Analyst , you will collaborate with multiple departments, including operations planning, process engineering, and quality, to enhance our manufacturing operations by harnessing the power of data. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Systems Engineer you will partner with the analyst team onsite at our Delaware, Ohio Plant and help improve our operations through data-driven insights. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around ensuring data accuracy, developing Measurement (KPI) dashboards, and supporting teams with data requests for engineering projects and cause investigations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the accuracy of automated and manual data reporting systems.Develop Measurement dashboards to monitor manufacturing performance.Assist teams by providing data-driven insights for engineering projects and cause investigations.Occasionally gather data directly from the manufacturing process when existing data is unavailable or unreliable. This may involve process observation or interaction with PPG associates.Collaborate with the quality department to ensure data accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

Proficiency in working with datasets in MS excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).Basic knowledge of statistical and quantitative analyses.Experience with programming languages or data visualization tools, such as Tableau or MS Power BI.Familiarity with process controls tag historians, manufacturing ERP systems, and Lean-SixSigma tools, preferred.Willingness to occasionally work with manufacturing associates on the shop floor.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline, preferred.Previous experience in a data analysis role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
