Role & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Underwriting departmentProvide strategic direction and guidance to the teamDevelop and implement underwriting policies and proceduresEvaluate risk factors and determine appropriate coverage and premium ratesEnsure compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsMaintain strong relationships with brokers and other stakeholdersResolve complex underwriting issues and provide expert adviceCoach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performanceMonitor market trends and identify opportunities for business growth
Key Skills
Previous experience in underwriting within the insurance industryStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent analytical and decision-making abilitiesSound knowledge of insurance products, processes, and regulationsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlinesProven track record in driving performance and achieving targetsAttention to detail and strong problem-solving skillsProficient in using underwriting software and related tools
