The Director of Campus Security is responsible for the protection of people, brand and property. They will lead a Campus Security team of 100+ associates, across 4 corporate campuses, 6 buildings, and international offices. They will supervise activities related to the physical security of all company-owned and operated Home Office and Distribution Center locations. Oversight will include collaborating with both internal and external customers; acting as liaison between external security partners, and ensuring clear communication and action is provided in incidents related to safety. Position reports to the Vice President of Asset Protection.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Lead campus response to emergency situations which includes developing and implementing training and crisis preparedness materials to prepare teams on response to safety threats


Develop and manage Executive Protection plans


Build and implement security enhancement programs


Support the safety and security of special events as needed


Gather intelligence, threat and risk trends for critical information and situational awareness reports


Lead campus investigations and conduct Asset Protection interviews


Identify shrink risks and develop asset protection procedures to mitigate losses


Ensure proficiency with Life Safety skills for immediate team


Maintain detailed knowledge and preparedness to use facility safety equipment (to include areas such as: Fire Suppression Systems, Surveillance equipment, etc.)


Assist in development and compliance of business plans and budget


Leadership responsibilities include hiring, retaining, coaching and developing the team


Lead and support special projects based on needs of the business

Qualifications


Minimum of 8 years experience in Asset Protection/Emergency Management/ Security related field


Preferred minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams


Established knowledge of crisis management protocols and procedures


Experience using Incident Reporting software


Ability to multi-task and work a flexible schedule. May be required to work weekends and holidays


Interview/interrogation skills required


Ability to build rapport and foster relationships, works well within a team-oriented environment


Ability to resolve conflict and manage associate issues effectively


Proficient with technology/computer related skills (e.g.: Microsoft office programs,


EDUCATION


Bachelors degree in related field


Preferred certificates include: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Profession (PSP)
