Job Summary Honolulu Freight Service is currently seeking an individual to join our Ohana. We are looking for a *full-time* ***Customer Service Representative (CSR)*** to assist with day to day operations. In this role, we are seeking to find an individual with strong attention to detail, savvy customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide information to customers regarding their Freight Forwarding shipments

* Receive requests to provide rate quotes for customers via, email, phone and/or fax

* Receive tracking requests from customers

* Handle shipments traveling from Hawaii to the Mainland

* Book 20', 40', 45' containers

* Handle load manifests and other required shipping docs

* Submit corrections regarding, rating discrepancies, mis-shipped freight and/or changes in service

* Train to handle documentation of hazardous materials

* Crosstrain to cover other departments

* Work closely with all management personnel

* Ability to carry/ lift 20 lbs

* May need to work alongside dock workers to help determine discrepancies with the freight

* Demonstrate professionalism on the phone, email and in the office.

* Responds promptly and professionally to internal staff and customer needs/concerns in a quick and courteous manner and able to bring unresolved issues to management.

* Work together as a team with all departments and offices.

* Comply with all policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.

* Complete all other tasks, duties and errands as assigned.

Job Requirements

* Accurate typing and/or data entry skills and ability to use a 10-key

* Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite

* Basic Math Skills

* Experience with Navision is a plus

* Ocean freight experience is a plus

* Must be organized, detail-oriented, multi-task and work well under stressful situations.

* Maintains regular and predictable attendance required.

* Work overtime as needed.

* Excellent written and oral communications skills.

* Must comply with the companys drug and alcohol testing requirements.
