JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for monitoring activities specific to fitness center and childcare room and ensuring a proper cleanliness and maintenance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide customer service while interacting with patrons, educating participants on how to use equipment and answering questions. Ensure fitness area remains clean and organized; organize dumbbells, yoga mats, and other workout equipment. Disinfect and clean all workout equipment and machines. Perform hourly cleaning checklist. Admits members and guests into the fitness center in accordance with the "Membership Policy"; checks proof of membership of each person seeking to use facility. Actively supervise the fitness and cardio areas. Childcare attendant to maintain and supervise childcare room and children in accordance with City of Euless policy. Childcare attendant Admits members and guests into the childcare room in accordance with the "Membership Policy"; checks proof of membership of each person seeking to use childcare services. Perform opening/closing procedures as designated by Recreation Specialist. Attend mandatory meetings and trainings as assigned. Stands for extended periods of time while performing daily duties such as, cleaning, supervising, etc. Bending and lifting to distribute supplies, equipment, and checking machines as needed. Follows emergency protocols and records and reports necessary information in the event of an incident. Must maintain regular attendance.

EQUIPMENT:

Operates computer, printer, copy machine, fitness equipment, telephones, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

* Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.

* Skilled in public/employee relations and problem solving.

* Learns recreation policies and procedures.

* Knowledge of basic mathematics.

* Comprehends and follows written and verbal instructions.

* Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

OTHER:

Must have, or the ability to obtain a valid Texas Driver's License. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical exam. Must pass a background check.
