Manager Case Management, Case Management, Full time, Day shiftClick Here to Apply OnlineJob DescriptionLocation: Palmetto General HospitalPosted Date: 9/7/2023Position Summary: Supervises the Case Management personnel in areas of admission and concurrent reviews as well as timely discharge of patients. Responsible for on-going education of the case managers to assure compliance with state and federal regulations, and those third-party review organizations. Responsible for compliance with the Interqual initiative. Monitors the Medicare LOS, Excess Days, Avoidable days, and monitors all outliers. Prepares reports and acts as an Assistant to the Director of Case Management. Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities): Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Possess three or more years of acute care hospital experience required. Familiar with the operations of the healthcare industry and healthcare delivery systems. Able to use the medical record in order to obtain clinical information to perform Interqual reviews. Utilize Outlook, and the computer based E-Care to perform reviews. Work experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Critical Care, and/or Pediatrics, NICU preferred or acute care facility. Required Licenses/Certifications: Current Florida RN Licensure preferred (Graduate of an accredited professional School of Nursing) or leadership experience in case management with a degree in Social Service or other applicable field in healthcare preferred.Must possess a solid clinical background to accomplish extensive Medical Record puter skills preferred.
