Quality Technician, Robotics

The Quality Technician works closely with the Production team to ensure that our robots and accessories arrive in the field defect-free and fully functional. In addition, this person contributes to the continuous improvement of our products and processes by gathering and analyzing quality data and communicating constantly with stakeholders including Production, Materials and Engineering personnel. The goal is always to work together as a team to deliver the best possible products to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute incoming inspection of custom mechanical, cosmetic, and OTS parts
• Inspect in-process assemblies per documented checklists and with a critical eye for non-standard or non-conforming conditions
• Run tests of completed robots and document test results
• Record all discrepancies as NCR's and segregate & label materials in company systems
• Support and conduct pre-shipment inspections and final tests
• Establish QA processes for new and non-standard assemblies, spare parts, kits, or processes
• Maintain accurate and complete records
• Keep work area, tools and materials clean and organized
• Contribute to Corrective and Preventive Actions

Requirements

• Technical Associate's degree or equivalent experience
• 1+ year experience a Quality role within an operation that includes mechanical and electronics hardware
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Basic electronics measurement skills using multimeter
• Comfortable with computer based documentation and record keeping, and with data collection, analysis and presentation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Excellent attention to detail and personal organization and record keeping skills

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with 5S and Lean concepts
• Experience in an ISO9000 environment
• Experience with cosmetic standards for painted surfaces
