**Inventory Control Specialist**

**Department:** WH-Operations **Location:** Fort Worth, TX

**Essential Job Duties:**

* Operate the Company inventory systems and tools to ensure orders run smoothly from receipt at the terminal to dispatching for delivery

* Inventory Management, including inventory verification counts, relocations, returns and other tasks as needed

* Identify exceptions such as damage, short shipments, wrong shipments, overweight/oversized cartons, and reconcile these issues, engaging other teams as needed

* Respond to application errors that appear in the warehouse and help the end-user figure out a solution

* Inventory freight returning after a missed or refused delivery, escalating reports of missing freight to leadership

* Print accurate and necessary paperwork for delivery teams

* Provide feedback on processes and tools

* Compile, verify, and report daily and/or periodic statistical information aimed at detecting trends to improve and maintain the overall health of inventory

* Research variances to determine appropriate root cause whether process or behavior, and log the information for operational review

* Count and reconcile randomly chosen part numbers and/or locations

* Assist in the execution of projects, as well as making suggestions for process improvement to leadership

* Ensures compliance with inventory processes and procedures as well as compliance to contractual obligations. Escalate issues to leadership.

* Quality Control check shipments and verify against a packing slip/scan system.

* Work as a Fulfillment Associate as requested

**Required Education and Competencies:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred)

* Minimum two years relevant experience in a similar role

* Above Average Computer Skills including the demonstrated use of:

+ Microsoft Outlook

+ Web Browser (Google Chrome / Safari / Internet Explorer)

+ Microsoft Excel

+ Microsoft Word

+ iPhone and Android Operating Systems

* Have the ability to understand and quickly learn new software and usage

* Be savvy and creative with ability to recommend new features for apps and software

* A solid communicator with the ability to explain things in "layman's terms" so a variety of end-users can understand

* Natural leader tendencieswho earns respect by demonstrating job knowledge

* Logical and critical thinking skills

* Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

* Ability to work in a team environment and foster ongoing healthy relationships

**Expected Hours of Work:**

Typical days and hours of work are Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional extended and weekend hours may be required.
