The Mortgage Sales Assistant's primary function is to increase service levels within the branch while assisting the Branch Manager and Loan Originators. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with the Loan Originator and sales team, while playing an essential role in the daily operations of the branch.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Act as the primary contact and liaison between clients, realtors, Branch Manage and Loan Originators.

* Take loan applications over the phone, schedule appointments, quote rates, and lock loans.

* Coordinate weekly pipeline meetings with each Loan Originator for accurate file tracking.

* Track all requested documents in Encompass and submit complete loan applications.

* Maintain contact with client throughout loan process.

* Maintain pipeline of 15 loan files or more while assisting the Loan Originator and Branch Manager.

* Receive loan file from Underwriting and assist gathering additional documentation, if needed.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, guidelines and mortgage lending laws.

* Assist with the day-to-day operations of the branch as needed.

* Assist in the coordination of offsite events, promotional advertising, and employee functions.

* Greet clients, answer phones, and assist in the management of team calendars.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:** A federal registration through Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required. However, individuals in this position are not eligible to receive loan officer commission. Waterstone Mortgage Talent Acquisition will assist individuals in obtaining this registration upon hire.

**1-3 years:** Mortgage and/or financial services industry experience is preferred.
