Could you be our next Corporate Safety Director?

In this role, you will promote our 24/7 Safety Culture by demonstrating that safety leadership and performance are driven by attitudes and behaviors. You'll provide technical expertise to operational teams and support the project planning process. You will provide leadership to build and maintain a professional safety organization across the entire enterprise from project focused safety facilitators to branch safety managers and regional safety directors.Building collaborative relationships with operational leaders to ensure safety excellence is intrinsic in all operations is key. Additionally, you'll support the injury management process and ensure all incidents are avoidable through proactive measures.

You will also lead and/or coordinate safety training in areas such as safety requirements, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment. Conducting, facilitating, and reviewing safety assessments to ensure compliance with regulations will be part of your responsibilities. Working with project personnel and teams to perform root-cause analyses and implement corrective solutions during incident reviews is crucial. Furthermore, you'll compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational accidents and hazards, and participate as a Subject Matter Expert in project-specific pre-planning processes.

  • Certification from recognized certification board- Certified Safety Professional, (CSP), Certified Safety Auditor, Certified Safety Manager or similar certification a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Construction, or related field
  • 15years of experience in safety construction management within the construction industry with at least 10 of those years in a supervisory and leadership role overseeing construction safety operations with an emphasis on delivering and leading a highly structured safety program.
  • In-depth technical working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards
  • Previous experience working for a self-performing contractor is a must
  • Previous experience dealing with open shop and union trades is preferred.
  • Travel is required with this position
