Payment Posting & Reconciliation Specialist
Job description
Morton Comprehensive Health Services' focus is to provide medical, behavioral health, lab/xray, mammography, behavioral health, dental and optometry services. Caring for our patients is our main priority, through providing quality services.
We are currently looking for a Payment Posting & Reconciliation Specialist to join our team. This person will manage account receivable billing and collections of payments for all designated payers and designated locations to balance payments at the end of the month. This position will ensure all payments are posted into the patient's account with the correct amount and adjustment.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required
* Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
* Data entry skills and working knowledge of computers is required
* Ability to work with spreadsheets and word processing in Microsoft products
* Ten-key calculator by touch
* Formal training in ICD-9, CPT coding, and medical terminology
This position has been deemed a" Safety-Sensitive" position; therefore, Morton reserves the right to refuse to hire an applicant or may terminate an employee in a "Safety-Sensitive Position" who tests positive for medical marijuana even if he/she has a valid medical marijuana license.
