Medical Receptionist

Job Description
Located in Tampa, Florida, Parkside Audiology is an independent private practice providing patients with the knowledge and individualized care to fulfill their hearing healthcare needs. They are looking for a committed, dependable, and customer-oriented Receptionist to join their team.

As the first point of contact with patients, the Medical Receptionist will be responsible for obtaining patient information over the phone and in person, verifying benefits, scheduling appointments, maintaining the patient database, and fulfilling other administrative duties.

Qualified candidates must be able to maintain a positive relationship with patients, manage their workload, and anticipate patients' needs without compromising the quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and following up on appointments.
• Ensuring patients receive exceptional service.
• Answering, making phone calls, and responding to emails.
• Validating payment methods and benefits coverage.
• Documenting notes and assigning them to proper providers.
• Pre-registering patients for hearing health care visits.
• Contacting patients, scheduling overdue appointments, and reminding patients of upcoming appointments.
• Keeping the reception area tidy and observing professional etiquette.
• Performing other administrative tasks, if required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as customer service, administrator, or receptionist in an office setting
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected situations with ease.
• Demonstrate ability to take initiative and find solutions to challenges.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Patient confidentiality is a must.
