Job description

The Portland Winter Light Festival fills the city with light, art, and community during the darkest time of the year. Help us transform downtown into streets full of joyful people strolling, enjoying art, and reminded of the beauty of this city!

PDXWLF remains a FREE, city-wide, family-friendly, interactive festival, and we need your help to make it happen!

VOLUNTEER HERE:

We return this February 2-3 and 9-10 on two weekends to reach higher with more art and an ambitious plan to turn Pioneer Courthouse Square into a flickering Fire Garden!

This year there are 3 Festival hubs across our great city!

  • World Trade Center: 121 SW Salmon St
  • Pioneer Courthouse Square: 701 SW 6th Ave
  • Electric Blocks in SE Portland: SE 2nd & Clay Street

Volunteer shifts average 4 hours, with some Leadership and early setup roles working shorter or a little longer each night:

  • Art Install + Setup Helpers
  • Art Guardians & Info Booth
  • Fire Tenders
  • Merchandise Booth
  • Crowd-counting squad
  • Donations team
  • Volunteer coordinators
  • Firewood stackers, artist sign-makers, and more
