**Description**
**PRIMARY FUNCTION:**
Work under the direction of Lead Craftsman or Foreman. Understanding all tasks for hydro-blasting service line including but are not limited to moving hoses, loading and unloading materials, hydro-blasting, chemical cleaning, vacuum truck operating, tank cleaning, and barge cleaning.
**TYPICAL DUTIES:**
* Ability to perform work in enclosed (confined) space.
* Ability to safely perform work using high pressure water blast equipment to clean heavy industrial equipment (pipe, boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, bundles, etc).
* Load hoses, chemicals and other equipment required for assigned job onto truck.
* Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
* Practices safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
* Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays.
* Control high pressure water jet nozzles to obtain specified cleaning requirements.
* Wears gloves, metatarsal boots and face shield to protect against injury to eyes, hands and feet.
* Loading and unloading equipment, tools, and supplies.
* Vacuum liquids and solids as required.
* All activities will be performed per our standard operating procedures (SOP's).
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Preferred Basic Plus Safety Card or be able to pass this course.
* Preferred NCCER Certified Hydroblaster.
* Preferred CDL.
* Must complete the Matrix Service Basic Safety training and site-specific training.
* Preferred valid TWIC card or be able to obtain this document.
* Must be willing to frequently travel/relocate.
* Must be willing to work frequent overtime.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug test consortiums.
* Must be able to pass company background check and site specific background check when required.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
* Must be able to hold and operate with both hands a double trigger hydro blast shotgun and other hydro blast equipment.
* Lift and maintain a minimum of 50 pounds.
* Tolerate being wet from head to toe for an unlimited amount of time.
* Climb ladders and work from scaffolding and stationary platforms up to heights of 200 feet.
* Tolerate and function in confined spaces of a minimum of 5 foot inside diameter.
* Must be able to work up to 16 hours per shift.
* Work under extreme climate conditions relative to geographic location.
