Industrial Painter

We are searching for an experienced Industrial Painter at our Oklahoma City facility.

Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

This role focuses on applying protective and aesthetic coatings to various products. It demands precision and expertise in preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes in compliance with our operational standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Smooth and prepare surfaces using metal tools to sand or grind. Correct any imperfections to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
• Cleaning: Thoroughly clean products to eliminate dust, dirt, and any contaminants. Employ chemical baths (vapor degreasing) for deeper cleansing of metal parts.
• Coating Application: Apply industrial coatings, including epoxy, enamel, and water-based paints, using airless and conventional spray guns. Ensure even application and adherence to safety protocols.
• Detailing: Use tape and paper to protect certain areas during the spray process. Monitor and maintain the correct mixture of paints and chemicals in machine tanks.
• Quality Control: Perform final inspections of the product, tagging each with date and time information to ensure traceability and quality compliance.
  
  

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years in industrial painting, with comprehensive knowledge of coating types and their applications.
• Proven ability to use airless and conventional spray systems.
• Proficient in sandblasting and orbital sanding techniques.
• Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy objects.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence in workmanship.
• Must have reliable transportation and be available for overtime as needed.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. of force frequently, and 10 lbs. of force constantly.
• Good, corrected vision, depth perception, and color vision.
• Continuous bending, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, pulling, twisting, grasping, and hand/finger dexterity required.
