Marquette, MI Email * Greet and register each customer promptly per hotel standards

* Maintain a complete and updated knowledge regarding the hotel, the architecture, restaurants, fitness center, and all other hours of operations

* Stay current with all functions, groups, VIPs that are arriving in the hotel

* Arrange for any special requests by a customer by working with any department to ensure that the request is done

**Primary Objective of Position**

To contribute to customer satisfaction by providing efficient, professional, and friendly service according to the standards of The Landmark Inn.

**Major Areas of Accountability**

1) Provide excellent service to all guests of the hotel throughout their stay

2) Demonstrates a knowledge of all services and facilities in the hotel

* Properly deliver packages, faxes, mail, messages, laundry, or any other items to a customer in a timely manner per hotel standards

* Promote food and beverage options offered by the hotel

* Has knowledge of all rooms in the hotel and can explain how to work items such as televisions, showers, lights, lamps. etc.

3) Understands and enforces all check-in policies of The Landmark Inn

* Ensures that a credit card for each guest is on file upon check-in

* Retrieves proper approval for each credit card payment

* Verifies all information upon check-in: name, address, payment method, etc.

* Ensures that all guests of a room have been registered

4) Follows and understands all accounting procedures of The Landmark Inn

* Follows all procedures of accepting personal checks from customers

* Ensures that all charges are issued to the correct customer or room

* Follows all procedures regarding individual cash banks that are issued

5) Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing excellent service and teamwork

* Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations

* Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors

* Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed

* Handles difficult situations effectively

* Meets hotel service standards

* Performs other duties as required to provide excellent service and teamwork

6) Adheres to hotel policies and procedures

* Attends work on time as scheduled

* Follows hotel grooming and dress standards

* Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures

7) Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance

8) Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position

9) Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate

10) At all times projects a favorable image of The Landmark Inn to the public

**Essential Functions**

1) Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and staff.

2) Ability to remain calm and professional with all guests.

4) Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

5) Able to kneel, climb, squat/bend, push and pull on a day-to-day basis.

Pay is based on experience. One year of hotel experience is preferred.
