**AS A DISHWASHER YOU WILL**

* Ensure the cleanliness of all dishware. Carefully wash by hand, and safely and skillfully operate the washing equipment, to thoroughly clean all service ware, cookware and utensils, including polishing stainless and silver ware.

* Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.

* Washes glassware and silverware

* Washes pots, pans and trays.

* Sweeps and mops kitchen floor.

* Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.

* Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.

* Cleans or hoses out garbage cans.

* Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

* Maintains the cleanliness of the dishwashing machine and dishwashing area.

* Help maintain safety in the kitchen by clearing spills promptly, keeping all kitchen equipment, oven vents, all floor, wall, and cook surfaces, thoroughly clean. Empty, wash, and return trash bins over full. Keep the wash area organized.

* Pitch in to help with special and deep cleaning projects.

* Must wear required uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

**OTHER TASKS:**

* Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning product as assigned by your Supervisor to adhere to health standards.

* Deep cleaning and detailing of Kitchen and bar areas when assigned.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS:**

* Must be able to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

* Must be able to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

* Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.

* The ability to operate a dishwashing machine, careful dishware handling and floor maintenance is expected.

* Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.

* Ability move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.

* Must be able to maintain composure under pressure.

**FUNDAMENTALS**

* Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience is helpful. The ability to communicate effectively in Basic English is required. This position requires continuous standing, full mobility, and lifting.
