Salary Range: $15-$18/Hour
Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems has an exciting opportunity for a mechanic shop assistant. This position is responsible for performing various fundamental and technical tasks to help with shop operations and equipment repairs.
As a shop assistant, you will:
Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems has an exciting opportunity for a mechanic shop assistant. This position is responsible for performing various fundamental and technical tasks to help with shop operations and equipment repairs.
As a shop assistant, you will:
- Move equipment in and around the shop.
- Assist with shop maintenance, including cleaning floors, trash removal, etc.
- Assist with shop organization including equipment, tools, supplies, and parts.
- Assist service technicians with equipment repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic mechanical skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
- Desire to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to lift and move more than 25lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance.
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
