Kruger Family Industries is a family-owned manufacturing conglomerate focused on Returnable Packaging, Steel Racking, OEM Components and Automotive Accessories. The company currently has four manufacturing facilities across North America. We are the largest heavy-gauge industrial thermoformer in North America.


KFI recently opened a metal racking facility in Arlington, TX and in need of an Operations Manager for their metal fabrication division. Be part of an industrial startup that has the support of an established, prospering company and help us continue to grow!


SUMMARY

Coordinates activities concerned with production of facility product(s) by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate Shift Supervisors and leads.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assists with the development, monitoring and maintaining of production and quality standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
  • Be able to interpret and access all applicable Quality Standards and Customer specific requirement documents related to the process(s).
  • Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Reviews and analyzes production, quality, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
  • Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
  • Provides a safe work environment by communicating and enforcing compliance of all safety policies and procedures.
  • Provides positive leadership by maintaining open communication with all employees.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory requirements as well as company policies and procedures


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages subordinate supervisors and managers and manages employees within the facility s operations departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, three to five years related experience and/or training; four to ten years related production experience with three to five years of supervisory related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background in metal fabrication (MIG Welding desired)
  • Ability to operate current computer software to create reports and correspondence. Ability to operate business planning online computer system or a similar system. Ability to operate and trouble shoot all machinery and equipment within the production facility.
