Description The Hobby Lobby Product Compliance Manager enjoys: Negotiable, competitive wage based on experience Monday through Friday work week In-Office hours of 8-4:30 every day The Product Quality and Compliance department is responsible for overall design, implementation and process of the regulatory product compliance, factory audit, and quality programs for Hobby Lobby Mardel. Combined, the companies currently operate approximately 80,000 SKUs throughout the year available for consumer purchase in the brick and mortar stores and Ecommerce sites. The Product Compliance Manager provides leadership and strategic direction ensuring a comprehensive product compliance program is maintained and implemented. This role is integral in leading the development and implementation of the product compliance program to ensure overall compliance, best practices, sustainability and due diligence processes comply to relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards related to consumer products and chemical management. Management duties include the oversight of development and administration of the comprehensive product compliance program, product packaging and labeling guidelines and product use and assembly instructions. Responsibilities: Provide in-depth understanding of mandated and voluntary regulatory and compliance standards directed by Federal and state regulatory agencies Regulatory point of contact for Federal, state, and local agencies on questions, issues, and audits while ensuring updates and changes are appropriately facilitated Company representative for product liability and California Proposition 65 cases. Develop and maintain relationships with buying teams and management Work closely with Risk Management and legal teams Guide and mentor staff to provide excellent support and service to buying teams Monitor and maintain in-house XRF testing program Support the team in coordinating regulatory reporting for registration requirements to meet state compliance Oversee a team of compliance professionals responsible for the day-to-day administration of the established compliance program Learn and maintain detailed knowledge of the evolving regulatory landscape relevant for assigned programs. Assess the impact of new regulations/guidance on internal programs and communicate relevant changes to internal stakeholders Monitor and track emerging regulatory developments for high risk chemicals and product types Monitor, observe trends, and conduct root cause analysis of product compliant data Develop and implement training programs for staff and buying teams 5 - 7 years of experience in Regulatory, Product Compliance Management or equivalent discipline 3+ years directly leading a team Ability to understand Federal and State regulations/requirements to offer guidance and solutions to internal and external teams Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with various audiences both verbally and in writing Ability to prioritize work flow and manage with minimal supervision Role model leader with ability to lead with integrity, innovation and involvement with excellent interpersonal, attention to detail, and training skills Proven effective organizational, time management and decision-making skills Multi-tasking experience, flexibility, and understanding of business impact to address immediate priorities while handling deadlines Ability to drive resolution of issues by bringing teams together Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with demonstrated ability to document processes and find opportunities for optimization Benefits: Competitive Wages Medical, Dental and Prescription Plan 401(k) Program with company match Paid Vacation Personal Paid Time Off (PPTO) Employee Discount Life Insurance and Long Term Disability Insurance (LTD) Flexible Spending Plan Holiday Pay Integris Clinic and Pharmacy on campus Chaplain Services on campus Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
