Colorado Springs, CO, USA Req #673 Tuesday, February 8, 2022 POSITION SUMMARY: A Parking Lot Attendant controls the systematic and orderly filling of the parking lots. Assists automobile and bus drivers with locating parking spots. Performs trash pick-up and grounds maintenance in the depot and train platform areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Controls the filling of the parking lots according to a pre-planned schedule. Contacts bus drivers upon arrival to direct them through bus turnaround loop. Identifies and directs non-Railway customers away from the parking lots. This includes hikers, joggers, and back packers. Warns that unauthorized vehicles are subject to being towed at owners expense. Assists disabled, elderly and handicapped passengers to reach the trains and find appropriate handicapped parking places. Removes trash from the train platform area on a regular schedule. Performs specific yard and grounds clean-up and other projects as directed. Work at entrance to Ruxton Ave. to allow only authorized vehicles up Ruxton Ave. Must be dependable and able to work scheduled hours or extra hours as required. Must be able to follow direction and implement tasks with little to no supervision. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment: The employee will constantly work in an outdoor environment to include high temperatures, wind, rain, snow and below freezing conditions. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
