We are in need of a CAD Design Project Manager. This position can be located remotely/anywhere within the continental US; the individual must be located near a major airport due to airline travel.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Design material handling systems and equipment to enable capacity and productivity improvement in our network. Present and lead design reviews with stakeholders .

* Establish distribution center design. Upkeep of current distribution centers in our network; engage in Space planning and Layout design.

* Work with vendors (RFI's, RFP's).

* Work with internal customers to identify solutions. Work with vendors on new solutions to improve our order fulfillment.

* Manage implementation of material handling design, timeline and budget

* Able to work with cross-functional teams to find solutions

* Identify and select effective models to solve complex business issues.

* Establish and recommend design enhancement changes that have significant effect on operations.

* Regular interaction with cross functional groups, operations, IT, security and real estate

* Ability to lead change, gain support and acceptance of change.

* Accountable to project budgets, ROI, and timeline.

* Plans and directs people, schedules, and budgets.

**Position Description**

Responsible for all aspects of the development/implementation of projects and programs involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or program from the design process through a finished state for internal/external customers. Provides a single point of contact for projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project which may include customers, client services and various departments (e.g. marketing, computer services etc.). Defines project scope and objectives. Oversees/coordinates all aspects of project and serves as project manager between clients, line management and internal and external resources. Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on all matters. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. May provide project management guidance to project team. Recommends/takes action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems.

**Minimum Requirements**

* Experience with CAD design, ideally in a warehouse or distribution center environment.

**Critical Skills**

* Knowledge of project management and demonstrated ability to lead projects or handle large, complex processes. Must have a mindset that is oriented to constantly drive process improvement

* Lean and Six Sigma process improvement tools and methodologies

* Customer focused with ability to create visible value

* Excellent communication skills listening, oral, and written

* Smartsheets or excel knowledge

**Additional Knowledge & Skills**

* 5+ years experience in project management

* Motivated for future growth and development

* Basic knowledge of a Distribution Center environment

**Education**

* 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
