Job Summary:
Creates Submittal and Shop drawings packages using SolidWorks and Draftsight.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Interpret Sales contracts, drawings, and sketches to produce a drawing submittal package using SolidWorks.
- Produce accurate and detailed shop drawings using SolidWorks.
- Identify, resolve or question discrepancies as necessary and report to the manager.
- Comprehend vender product specifications.
- Produce drawings using SolidWorks/Draftsight.
- Create & respond to emails using Outlook regarding drafting projects.
- Create drafting library content.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Research and resolve custom projects and report results to manager.
- Coordinate with Sales and Engineering departments to ensure project accuracy and completion.

- Knowledgeable in any of the following industries: Fenestration, Architecture or Manufacturing is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations sound.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc)
Work Environment:
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.).
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate. Some College preferred, but not required.
- Experience or Education as a CAD drafter is required.
- Three Plus additional years of drafting experience required.
- SolidWorks experience 3 Years minimum. (Systems and program solutions
