Status: Part-Time HourlyFLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout El Paso County, and Adams and Denver areas are available.

  • Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings.

  • The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
  • Position will be focused on Court Ordered Supervision Visitation.
  • Court Ordered Supervised Visitation Worker/Advocate will be responsible for observing and ensuring the safety of the child(ren) present and providing a therapeutic approach to ensure improvement in the parent/child relationship
  • Must be trained to observe and be prepared to intervene to possibly terminating visits if there is inappropriate behavior observed. They must be prepared and process situations with the parent and child, when a parent is not following the guidelines and there are no present safety concerns.
  • Visitation workers will actively model and educate caregivers on the areas that are appropriate to address for the treatment plan goals.
  • Will debrief after visitation with the caregiver regarding the progress with the treatment plan goals. Successes, concerns, and planning for future visits will be processed.


Position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage, and activity reimbursement.

Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications/Requirements: A minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Experience working with youth and families and preferably the Human Services Field.
  • Position is IN PERSON and does involve driving with youth in your own vehicle (Follow COVID/CDC protocols)
  • Must be available after school hours and weekends (Flexible Schedule); Part Time Hours: 10-20 hours per week
  • Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage.
