Parking & Traffic Team Members

Parking & Traffic team members main function is to provide traffic control, clear direction and customer service to patrons under the direction of PATS supervisors and managers. The arrival, parking and entrance of patrons for the event are key to the success of the day.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Engages in traffic control operations including flagging, communications, and lot organization.
  2. Selling parking tickets to patrons, while providing customer service and direction.
  3. Effectively communicate venue policies and procedures to Argus team members and patrons.
  4. Develop an effective working relationship with other departments at the venue including but not limited to Security, Police, Fire, Paramedics and Safety.
  5. Other duties as assigned.


Experience and Skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  1. Demonstrate positive communication qualities and strong interpersonal skills.
  2. Must be willing to take direction and lead by example.
  3. Must be able to move around the outside of each venue with ease.
  4. High school diploma or GED and/or equivalent work experience.
  5. Must be able to respond to change in a positive and productive way.
  6. Must exhibit an emphasis on customer service.
  7. Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  8. Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
  9. Must be able to work long hours in any weather condition.
  10. Complete the necessary training including; CPR/first aid, incident report writing and supervisor training.
  11. Exceptional interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
  12. Good sense of situational and spatial awareness.


Physical Demands of the Job
Must be able to move in a quick, energetic manner. Long periods of standing and constant movement around the event area is expected on event days. Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Must have ability to see and hear and use hands to provide directions to patron vehicles

Psychological Demands
Moderately stressful with constantly changing demands and deadlines. Must be able to give and take direction from different teammates in a professional manner. Traffic patterns can change quickly so the candidate needs to be able to shift priorities quickly.

Working Conditions
Fast paced environment at venue during event days. Longer hours/days are necessary. You will be subject to the elements as Parking is always outside, so wind, cold, heat along with periods of rain and snow are present.
