**Description**
Performs a variety of routine tasks in kitchen, tray line and dishwashing areas according to standard practices and procedures.
Complies with regulatory requirements.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required include:
- Ability to read, write and understand basic instructions at a level normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Approximately 1 month on-the-job experience necessary in order to become familiar with Hospital and department policies and Health Food Codes as well as to attain proficiency in performance of food service duties.
- Knowledge of proper handling and storage of food in order to meet department standards for food service.
