Job Summary: As the Director of Safety and Production, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and production efficiency within multiple locations across the US. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety and Tree Care production protocols and training. You will also be responsible for implementing safety processes, production processes and procedures that will optimize performance across all locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Tree Care safety management and Tree Care/Plant Health Care production operations, with a focus on fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regular safety visits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide training and support to all locations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, analyzing root causes and implementing/communicating corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with each location to streamline and improve production processes.
  • Implement best practices for efficient and high-quality Tree Care and Plant Health Care service delivery.
  • Keep abreast of Tree Care Industry trends, operational/production advancements and bring positive change to the Safety, Production and Operational processes of the entire organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure that operations comply with local, state, and federal safety standards.


Qualifications:

  • Tree Care Industry experience is a must
  • Documented training and experience in Safety, and Tree Care Operations Management.
  • 10 plus years of proven experience in the Tree Care industry with an TCIA Certified Tree Safety Professional (CTSP) certification
  • Other advanced TCIA and ISA certifications are preferred but not required, such as ISA Certified Arborists , ISA Certified Tree Worker and Aerial Lift Specialist , and Tree Care Safety Professional Trainer , Master Arborist .
  • Strong knowledge of Tree Care production processes and efficiency optimization.
  • Familiarity with relevant OHSA and other regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
