Grocery Store Director

We are looking for a results-driven retail Store Director to be responsible for the overall store(s) operations. This individual will need to have a self-starter mindset with experience building a retail store from the ground up. The successful candidate will make key decisions on in-store processes and operations, setting store standards and execution playbooks, in-store merchandising, hiring and onboarding of personnel, executing success criteria, managing store personnel and delivering results while managing P&Ls for the operation.

Responsibilities:

• Leading business from construction > opening > maintenance of store(s).
• Develop business strategies to raise our customer pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
• Manage store P&Ls and performance KPIs to drive continuous improvement and achieve strategic objectives and budgets e.g., achieve/exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales, revenue and profit budgets, and other defined goals
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally with headquarters and other stakeholders in merchandising, technology, and supply chain to align store operations with our strategic positioning and out target customer's needs.
• Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
• Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
• Additional store manager duties as needed

Requirements and skills:

• Preferred Bachelor's Degree
• 10 years of retail experience
• Preferred experience opening new retail stores
• Preferred experience managing multiple stores
• Preferred grocery experience
• Proven ability to deliver P+L results
• Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships with key organizational stakeholders
• Powerful leading skills and business orientation
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing capabilities, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
