Person Memorial Hospital

Provides direct observation for patients who have behavioral, psychiatric, or medical conditions requiring additional support to ensure their safety. Assists patients with general comfort needs, meals, re-positioning, as needed. Assists patients with transfers and will also transport patients as needed.

Reports to: Department Director

FLSA: Non-exempt

**Qualifications**

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum Work Experience:Experience in a patient care setting preferred.

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Person Memorial Hospital on all units.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heartsaver CPR from American Heart Association (AHA) Requiredby the completion of the Clinical Orientation.
