Early Childhood Assistant- Part Time Position Purpose To provide support to the teachers by helping to set up tasks and implement instructional processes. This job involves preparing activities for the day under the instruction of the teacher, supervising the children under their care, and ensuring the classroom stays organized. Due to their students' young age, preschool assistants take on a combination of educational and child-care duties. This role is well suited to people who are patient, have good attention to detail, and have experience of working with children.
Essential Job Functions - Assist classroom teacher with daily duties.
- Facilitate small group instruction.
- Complete clerical duties as assigned by teacher.
- Supervise student behavior and activities.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Equipment Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, and telephone.
Travel Requirements Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Pay Rate $15.38 per hour.
Work Schedule 4 hours per day.
182 days per year.
