Construction Superintendent (Commercial)

Shames Construction Company (SCC) is currently in search of a Commercial Construction Superintendent with a minimum 5 years of experience, located within the San Jose Metropolitan area. SCC Specializes in large-scale commercial developments such as retail, grocery, industrial, restaurant, and entertainment projects. Role Overview:

Responsible for all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance. Collaborate with project management, field engineers, craft employees, and subcontractors. Minimum 5 years of experience with big-box retail, open-store remodels, grocery, restaurants, industrial, and entertainment projects. Requires extensive travel throughout California.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, implement, and coordinate projects with subcontractors and clients.
• Familiarity with contracts, plan reading, specifications, construction methods, and regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Blue Beam, MS Excel, Procore, and equivalent construction programs.
• Self-starter, assertive, organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Proficient in construction principles, techniques, and procedures.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, clean DMV report.
• Willingness to travel.

Experience:

• 5+ years in Commercial Construction.
• 3-5 years in a general construction supervision role.

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• OSHA 30 (Preferred)
