Job description
PDQ Skilled Trades has a dynamic client located in Richland Hills, TX.
If you are passionate about precision welding and want to contribute to custom structural steel projects, this is the job for you!
Shift:
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday: 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Some Saturdays: 5:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Must be available for mandatory OT
Pay:
- Pay Range: $17 to $21 per hour
- Determined by experience and weld test
Responsibilities:
- Pass a welding test, showcasing skills in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Perform MIG welding using various materials such as .035 solid wire
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
- Utilize hand cutting torches and hand grinders with precision.
- Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Willingness to perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Welding PPE: Steel Toe Shoes, long sleeves, gloves, welding hood
- Structural fitting experience using jigs
