Job Description HHA/C.N.A.

Job Summary:

Provides personal care services in the home, assigned by SAFE HOMECARE. Tasks that involve assistance with client medication self-administration, will be under the supervision of the SAFE HOMECARE RN staff nurse. Supervisory RN visits will be arranged, should the client approve and agree to pay for the visit.

Responsibilities:

1. Performance of all personal care tasks as assigned, which include:
Personal Hygiene
Toileting
Ambulation
Bathing/Showering
Dressing
Meal preparation
All other tasks of daily living assigned

2. Maintenance of a clean, safe and healthy environment, which may include:
Light Housekeeping
Laundry
Washing dishes/loading and unloading dishwasher

HHA/C.N.A. shall complete appropriate service notes regarding service provision daily. Documentation will contain services provided, date and time in and out, and a signature of caregiver and client to confirm care was provided.

The HHA/C.N.A. shall follow the specific personal care tasks as outlined in the written agreement by SAFE HOMECARE and the client or client s representative.
