Job description
Insight Global's client, a healthcare SaaS company, is looking for a seasoned Senior Java Developer with a strong background in healthcare billing and claims. This candidate will be coming into a fast paced, start-up environment managing and fixing current code and hot fixes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java, cloud technologies, and HIPAA compliance frameworks. This is a fully remote 6 month contract, sitting anywhere in the US, that does have the strong likelihood of extensions and possible conversion. It is required that this contract start no later than 6/10/24.
Key Responsibilities
-Software Development: Apply your 10+ years of software development expertise to maintain and enhance our systems.
-Java Proficiency: Utilize your 3+ years of experience with Java 9+ to prepare for our transition to Java 11.
-Healthcare Knowledge: Leverage your recent experience in healthcare billing and claims to contribute to our solutions.
-Cloud Technologies: Employ your cloud experience, particularly with AWS, to optimize our services.
-Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our codebase, ensuring hotfix resolutions.
-HIPAA Compliance: Maintain confidentiality of customer and proprietary information by ensuring all development work adheres to HIPAA compliance frameworks.
-Process Improvements: Embrace change and continuously find ways to evolve not just "what" we do, but "how" it gets done.
-Feedback Loop: Help improve the customer experience by sharing feedback to further develop the product.

-10-15 years in software development.
-3 years of experience with Java 9 or higher.
-Recent knowledge of healthcare billing and claims.
-Experience with cloud services, especially AWS.
-Understanding of HIPAA compliance frameworks.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-ColdFusion experience, migration from ColdFusion to Java is most ideal
