Responsible for performing routine building maintenance and cleaning tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.) and perform other tasks as assigned.

This is a second shift position - Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
Pay range: Based on experience, $18.00 - $20.00/hour + $2.50/hour second-shift differential.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Custodial activities for the production floor, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas.
  • Inspects buildings and grounds to determine functional systems and to detect malfunctions and needed repairs, making notes and recommendations using a pre established check sheet.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing hoses on sinks and similar devices, etc.).
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work (e.g., preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).
  • Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remount s modular offices and space (e.g., furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies, and hand trucks.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned from time to time by the employer or its designated representative.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years of experience in facilities and maintenance.
  • Competent knowledge of equipment and manufacturing operations, with the ability to make necessary electrical, plumbing, and structural facility repairs.
  • Critical thinking skills required. Excellent organizational and communication skills including written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read, writes, speaks, and understands English fluently.
  • Travel occasionally

Compensation details: 18-20 Hourly Wage
