How you ll make an Impact

As the Shipping & Receiving Clerk you will operate within a dynamic warehouse setting, overseeing inventory management and orchestrating the intricate processes of all shipping and receiving.

Summary of Location

  • This is an onsite position at our HQ Office located in McLean, VA
  • Monday Friday 8am-5pm or 9:00am-6:00pm EST

What you will be doing

  • You will oversee the intake of all incoming goods
  • Prepare and handle all shipments of goods
  • Assist with loading and unloading of goods
  • Understand policies of shipping and receiving as well as proper storage of goods
  • Maintain the efficiency and cleanliness of the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas
  • Understand security policy of equipment storage and make sure all items are always secured in the warehouse and surrounding areas
  • Ordering, managing delivery schedules, and tracking all purchases
  • Receive items in the system properly via the procurement modules
  • Update configurations for receiving of software
  • Follow and execute the policies and processes put in place by the Director of Procurement
  • Responsible for quarterly inventory audits and reconciliation
  • Assist with Facilities
  • Assist other departments with deliveries of project equipment
  • Assist with E-Cycling both internally and externally (client)
  • Assist with Data Entry

You ll be successful in this role if you have experience in/with

  • 1-2 years of Shipping/Receiving and/or Inventory Control experience, IT related
  • Good understanding of technology and value of different technological products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus
  • Must be responsible, motivated, dependable individual who can execute the above responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to follow directions effectively
  • Must be able to take initiative to complete responsibilities independently
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Required language skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally
  • Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general publi

Bonus points for

  • MSP Experience
  • Basic computer and hardware knowledge
  • Experience working with vendor websites/portals placing and tracking orders
  • Packing and shipping experience using UPS/FedEx ect.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment around 60 pounds as required
