**Horse Rehoming Team Member** Non-riding post, South of Norwich

Permanent full time, 40 hours per week as per rota (to include weekends), 7.30am to 4.00pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced and confident individuals to join the Redwings Rehoming Centre at Hapton in a non-riding post.

This post is subject to safer recruitment processes to ensure effective safeguarding of all those who come into contact with our charity. The successful applicant will be required to have a DBS check in place before employment is confirmed.

You will be expected to be an active member of a small team of motivated staff to ensure the smooth and professional running of the centre. Along with the usual yard duties the job includes, but is not limited to, training horses in all manner of groundwork, up to and including the initial backing stages, assessing potential guardians and matching to equines. You will also compile and complete rehoming packs, update equine training records, and assist with the delivery of some equines.

The ability to be professional when dealing with the general public is essential as the Rehoming Team provide demonstrations for open days and are in contact with the public on a regular basis at guardian trials. A good telephone technique and the ability to communicate effectively are also essential qualities. Applicants must show the ability to implement effective equine training programmes and have a sound knowledge of equine health and welfare. Experience in backing and handling youngsters is preferable, although not vital.

A full manual driving licence is necessary as you will be required to drive company vehicles.

**Salary** 18,532.80 per annum for over 18s. In addition, we offer shift workers a premium pay rate on Sundays (time and a half) and Bank Holidays (double time).
