Consumer outdoor products manufacturer based in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Controller to spearhead their Accounting team. The role will partner with the CFO and oversee accounting, financial operations, team management, compliance, and strategic financial planning.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead an Accounting team of 5.
  • Review financial statements, reports, and data in compliance with GAAP, including variance and cash flow analysis.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on annual budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
  • Handle various tax considerations, including state and local taxes.
  • Implement and supervise internal controls, streamline processes, and leverage accounting systems for efficiency.
  • Extract and analyze financial, cost accounting, and revenue data.
  • Work closely with the CFO, leadership team, and external auditors.



Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in accruals and GAAP accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification or prior experience in public accounting is advantageous.
  • Previous industry experience in Manufacturing, Retail, or Consumer Goods is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in team development and leadership.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or cloud-based accounting systems is a plus
  • Professional demeanor, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.



Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary up to $165,000 to $185,000 depending on experience, and discretionary bonus
  • Benefits package including medical, dental, vision (MDV), 401K, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • Eligibility for annual bonuses.

  • Hybrid work schedule available after the initial 60 days
