The Accountant will be responsible for creating, maintaining, analyzing, and explaining financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • General Ledger - Responsible for activities associated with maintaining complete and accurate financial statements, reviews general ledger accounts, completes journal entries, and maintains the general ledger chart of accounts
  • In addition, the position will provide support and guidance based on monthly, quarterly, and year end closing duties.
  • Identifies ways to streamline month-end close process
  • Research proper treatment of accounting topics and prepares recommendations
  • Assist in gathering information for internal end of month financial reporting
  • Analyze and explain monthly variances within multiple G/L accounts.
  • Manipulate data for leadership evaluation.
  • Full comprehension of system processes and data flow.
  • Tax Accounting & Planning - Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annually.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience in MRP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain seated for 8+ hours.
  • Must be able to frequently rise to stand and walk.
  • Ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Able to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, wrist.
  • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp/manipulate objects.
